You know, you may get off on the right foot to succeed. But how about starting the Christmas season by running? This is the HoHoHoliday philosophy. On Saturday morning put on your tennis shoes, go to Downsview Park and three… two… one… go. I almost forgot, wearing Santa’s suit.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Toronto
This is the best way to sprint your holidays according to Big Brothers Big Sisters association of Toronto, together with Ho Ho Holiday 5km and 365 sport Inc. The proceeds from this race will be donated, in fact, to the charity BBBST which has been helping poor and marginalized families for over 100 years, guaranteeing them basic rights, such as health and education. A way to reduce crime, poverty and inequality is staying close to the little ones, listening to and supporting them. What better reason to join?
Are you ready for HoHoHoliday?
So, Saturday 23rd at 10am in Downsview Park on Canuck Avenue the 5 kilometer run starts. Hohoholiday combines solidarity, aggregation and sport all wrapped in the magical and evocative atmosphere of the Christmas holidays. Ticket price is $ 44.95 for adults and $ 34.95 for kids if purchased today. While it increases by $ 10 if you buy on the day of the event. Families with a minimum of four members, however, will pay $ 30 per ticket. Included in the price are the bracelet, the bib with the number and, of course, the Santa Claus suit complete with a hat and white beard. Each participant will also have a bag and medal.
Children from 5 years old can take part, only if accompanied by an adult. While from 13 years onwards, accompaniment is not required. And then, you can also bring your four-legged friends with you. Three departures are scheduled, the first at 11, the second at 11:30 and the last at noon. During the route there will be stops during which to rest and refresh yourself with delicious Christmas sweets. And on arrival everyone at the party! Music, food and beverage, children’s area and many games: Hockey, Christmas light tug of war and Christmas Tree Throwing Contest. You can be immortalized in the most exhilarating moments and then collect the photos before leaving. So are you ready to flood the park with hundreds and hundreds of Santa Claus? It will be fun.
