You will be able to admire glass creations with the most refined techniques, expression of the most ancient traditions, blown glass works and you will get to know some works belonging to great masters of the sector, each with his own art, but all spokesmen of a craft and manufacturing profession that fascinates with its colors and its splendid shapes.
The protagonists of the exhibition in Toronto
Let’s take a look at the protagonists of the Toronto Contemporary Glass Exhibition to learn about their ideas and objectives represented in their creations. Pietro and Riccardo Ferro are two brothers who use glass to express themselves and work synergistically to create ever new and original artistic forms. Simone Crestani is considered a lone voice because he decided to detach himself from the classic Murano glass to develop a new technique, called Hollow Sculpture, which has now spread everywhere in the world. Davide Salvadore belongs to a family that has always been dedicated to working with glass. Today he is also one of the founding members of the Murano Glass Study Center association.
Lucio Bubacco made his chilhood passion a real art. He has been loving glass since he was a child and today he is capable of creating unique pieces with two-dimensional contours. Mauro Bonaventura began his career as a simple employee in a glass factory and then became a true artist in the sector. Finally, there are Marco and Mattia Salvadore, sons of Davide Salvadore, who following in the footsteps of their master have been able to create their own space in the panorama of glass processing, brilliantly integrating the techniques learned by their father with very interesting improvisation elements.
