After landing in America, the Middle East, Japan and the countries of Central Europe, Eataly also arrives in Toronto. The chain of stores specializing in the sale of Italian products, in fact, will see its baptism in the Canadian metropolis tomorrow, Wednesday, November 13th at the Manulife Center in Bay and Bloor, in the Yorkville neighborhood.
A slice of Italy in Yorkville
The first Eataly will open on Wednesday, November 13 at the Manulife Center in Bay and Bloor, in the Yorkville neighborhood of Toronto. It will be distributed over fifty thousand square meters divided over three floors. The brand concept, also here in Canada, will always be the same. The focus will be on the high quality of products and on the vast choice that the Belpaese offers in the culinary sector, in all food and wine sectors.
There will be four restaurants in Eataly Toronto, which will range far and wide in the Italian tradition. It goes from La Pizza & La Pasta to the Pescheria, passing through the Italian Street Food La Piazza to finally reach the Trattoria Milano, which will open next winter.
And after a good lunch, you know, in Italy a coffee or an amaro is a must. Eataly Toronto’s Gran Caffè is based on this idea, proposing to be the classic high-profile Italian bar. Here it will be possible to have a hearty breakfast, an aperitif and an Italian happy hour. We advise you, however, that living won’t cost half, as Ligabue sings in the song that celebrates the happy hour ritual. Prices, in fact, will be in harmony with the exclusivity of this bar.
The wide proposal of Eataly Toronto
But Eataly Toronto will offer much more. Great emphasis will also be given to a product that is not strictly Italian, but much loved by our compatriots: beer. There will, in fact, be a Birroteca, equipped with a shop and a tasting room, and the Indie Ale House brewery, which offers an exclusive Italian pilsner and other beers flavored with typical ingredients of the Belpaese. Furthermore, the products of over one hundred Italian brands will be sold in the Market area, where more than fifty Canadian producers will also exhibit their items. This area will also be enriched by stalls of fresh products, from the butchery to the delicatessen, passing through the bakery and fish shop.
As it happens in every country where it opens its doors, in Toronto Eataly adapts to the typical hectic life of the metropolis. In fact, many will be the dining option with take away service. For a quick snack, but at the same time tasty and of quality. Finally, Italian cooking courses and workshops will be offered by the Eataly Toronto school. So you can bring a pinch of Italy to all the houses of the Canadian metropolis.
