Thanks to the initiative of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World will be held in various parts of the globe for the fourth year. The event, which started yesterday and will last until November 24, this year addresses the theme of nutrition education: the culture of taste. The fourth edition of the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World
A working group was held in Villa Farnesina, headquarters of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in preparation for the fourth edition of the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World. This event, as mentioned, started yesterday and will end on November 24th. The main theme will be Nutrition Education: the culture of taste. During the presentation conference of the event, the Secretary General Roberto Ariani underlined that this anniversary is becoming fundamental in the program of promotion of the Italian tradition in the world. Its success is also possible thanks to the work of over 50 delegations in as many countries around the world. Delegations that will work closely with the consular network to promote a wide range of events.
The Week of Italian Cuisine in the World has become an annual initiative. It is therefore aimed at promoting Italian culinary traditions and food and wine as a distinctive feature of our identity and culture. Its organization allows thousands of people from all over the world to discover new tourist destinations, culinary itineraries and the benefits of the Mediterranean diet every year. This is one of the elements that make Italy one of the healthiest countries in the world.
The event promoted by the Italian Cultural Institute of Toronto
In Canada, deeply linked to Italy, the Italian Cultural Institute of Toronto will take care of organizing an event in line with this anniversary. Thanks to the support of the Italian Consulate, in fact, the institution will be able to have a special guest visiting from Tuscany. Chef Gaio Giannelli will cook a delicious Tuscan Style dinner to be held at The Chefs’ House at George Brown College (215 King Street East Toronto). He will arrive in the Canadian metropolis together with the Delegation of Historical Versilia. During the evening, Giannelli will be assisted by Chef de Cuisine from The Chefs’ House and by students of George Brown College.
The evening, which will be held on Thursday, November 21 received the precious support of the Italian Chamber of Commerce. In addition to the delights prepared by chef Giannelli, it will be possible to taste typical cheeses and cold cuts imported from Tuscany. In short, an event that you cannot and must not miss!
